This home in Orange County is the English Tudor hilltop estate of Disney Imagineer Tony Baxter. He has lived in his home for thirty years and in order to customize it further and accommodate his current needs, we did two room additions to the rear of the house.
The new office used to be an old master closet with cramped conditions and a low ceiling. This addition involved more than doubling the size of the space and then vaulting the ceiling. In this room, we added a vintage feature of building in bricks into the plaster wall to make it look more historical. The bay window with a peaked roof and a vaulted ceiling really sets off the vintage detail.
Tony also wanted to have an addition added to his guest bedroom so that the new space could also be used as a screening room. We had to match what was already there and make the addition look seamless with the vintage style. The beams were all hand-hewn and both the stucco and plaster color were customized.
