The home was originally built in 1928 and has historical value. The original design of the kitchen was much smaller because there was a bathroom behind a wall. I took out the wall and the old bathroom and turned the shower area into the walk-in pantry.
With the entire wall and bathroom gone in this Laguna Beach cottage, the kitchen became 5 feet wider and offered more room to function with more storage. The kitchen remodel doubled the size of the room. The floor was redone in a new vintage-style white oak and the countertops are a new honed marble. The classic farm sink provides the ultimate vintage look. This Laguna Beach kitchen now has a much brighter and warmer feel.
